Sussex CCC players released from England duty

Matt Prior and Luke Wright look set for a return to domestic action with Sussex in the next few weeks after the ECB announced their availability to return to the county scene.

Both Prior and Wright will be back in Sussex colours for much of May, with Prior in the running for crucial Division One games against Nottinghamshire and Somerset at the PROBIZ County Ground.

Wright sustained a knee injury during the ICC Cricket World Cup, but should be fit to line up against Lancashire.

Michael Yardy’s cricketing comeback is as yet unknown after pulling out of the World Cup with depression. Both Sussex CCC doctors and England medical staff will consult with the club captain before he makes a return to competitive action.
