Brighton murder enquiry - second man arrestedA second man has been arrested on suspicion of a Brighton murder. The 22-year old man, who lives locally, was arrested at an address in central Brighton mid afternoon yesterday, Wednesday 2 May, and is currently in custody for interview and further enquiries.

Emergency services had been called to a flat in Norfolk Square at 7.40pm on Sunday 29 April after a report that Jeffrey Burrows who lived there alone had received stab wounds.

He received treatment at the scene from paramedics but was sadly pronounced dead there shortly after 9pm. A post mortem was carried out on Monday 30 April, and confirmed that he died of stab wounds.

A knife was recovered in the flat and is still being examined to see if it is connected with the attack.

A 21-year old local man was arrested on Monday 30 April at a Brighton address, on suspicion of murder, and he was released on police bail on Tuesday evening while enquiries continue.
