Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Festival September 2011

Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Festival September 2011This September, the second annual instalment of the Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Festival will be taking over the city from the 1st September to the 4th October 2011.

Now in its eighth year, the Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Festival celebrates all the fantastic gastronomic delights that the city has to offer.

The bigger brother of the 10-day festival in April, the month-long festival in September provides an opportunity for growers and produces around Brighton & Hove to showcase their food and drink.

Last year around 160,000 people attended the Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Festival events throughout the year, making the festival the largest of its kind in the south of England.

The major events of the festival – including the Big Sussex Market, Live Food Show and Sussex & The World Market – are all free-to-enter and organised by a voluntary committee of local business people in Brighton & Hove.

The Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Festival receives no public sector support and our costs are met by the ongoing support of the local business community, financial sponsors, and the contributions of the festival committee.

Restaurants and producers taking part in the 2011 festival include Moshi Moshi, Chocoholly, Seven Bees Café and Madame Geisha.

For a full programme of events and for more information on the festival, visit the Brighton & Hove Food Festival website.
